What is cPNI?

Gaining back control of your health

Clinical PsychoNeuroImmunology (cPNI) is an integral and modern medicine discipline with an evolutionary approach. This branch of medicine connects scientific knowledge with; (epi)genetics, psychology, neurology, biochemistry, immunology, endocrinology, sociology, physiotherapy, and exercise science and orthomolecular nutrition. This integral way of approaching medicine links the symptoms together to universal disrupted mechanisms allowing the therapist to find the root cause(s) of your symptoms. By visualising this connection, we can work with you in a targeted and unique way to resolve them.

“When I can see the connection between your difficulties, I can work with you in a focused and specific way towards the solution”

By identifying the causes of your complaints, a personalised treatment plan can be created in a targeted and effective way that puts you back in control of your health

Restore internal systems

Our body constantly works to restore balance or homeostasis, when the internal systems are out of control.

Being out of homeostasis occasionally, acts as a physiological stimulus keeping our bodies healthy and resilient. Stress is the biological response to changes in your homeostatic demands and is good for your body in short occurrences.

If there is a disruption in the physiology, energy distribution and/or detoxification between cells in the internal body the system stays in a stress state. An example of an external stimulus that can cause imbalanced stress-state is nutrient-poor processed foods such as pasta, rice, bread. Daily overdoses of these one-sided foods can lead to the accumulation of toxins and stress in our digestive-, immune-, detoxification-, endocrine-, nervous-, muscular- and cardiovascular system. The systems become overladed. Lack of exercise and sleep also can cause the same systems to be out of homeostasis. In addition, emotional stress, lack of social contact or intimacy can also cause the systems to stay in a stress-state.

There are many different internal and external trigger factors in your daily life that can cause your body to stay out of homeostasis. This continuously unbalance is a chronic stress-state for the body and thereby a possible cause of your illness. Only when homeostasis is restored can physical and mental health be restored
